Abraham Saylors married Elizabeth Dove in Rutherford County, NC in August 1785. In 1786 there first child, Leonard Saylors, was born. Abraham Saylors moved his family to Abbeville County, SC before 1790. Abraham shows up on the 1790 Abbeville County, SC census with three sons under the age of five years.

Abraham Saylors is recorded directly above his son, Leonard Saylors, on the 1810 Abbeville County, SC Census. The Census records that Abraham and Elizabeth had three sons and three daughters living with them in 1810. Abraham has two brother-in-laws, David Dove and Thomas Dove, that appear on the same page of that 1810 Abbeville County, SC census.

Abraham and Elizabeth Saylors known sons are Leonard, Isaac, John P, and Abraham, Jr. All were raised in the area now known as Saylors Crossroads.

Abraham's wife, Elizabeth Dove, was mistakenly transcribed as Elizabeth Love by Brent Holcomb when he published his genealogical book, Marriages of Rutherford County, North Carolina, 1779–1868. That erroneous marriage record is on ancestry.com and has called much confusion. I have written three papers and published them on ancestry.com that will convince any genealogist worth their salt, that Abraham Saylors' wife was Elizabeth Dove.

Abraham's brother, Leonard Saylors, moved to White County, TN.
