After her retirement she volunteered for 12 years as a monitor with Recordings for the Blind and Dyslexic, and devoted numerous years to the Meals on Wheels program. She spent 27 years helping on a weekly basis with the Kerrytown Concert House in Ann Arbor. She also was on various commissions at her church, St. Joseph's in South Lyon, taught catechism, and was their first female lector, and continued that for years.
She dearly loved her family, and was survived by her eight children; two daughters and six sons. She was a devoted grandmother to her 21 grandchildren. She was a woman with a strong faith, and she was a positive person.
