DAWSON J. ADAMS, WABASH MAN, DIES
HAD LIVED IN DECATUR FOR LAST ELEVEN YEARS.
Dawson J. Adams, for many years a Wabash Brakeman, died at the Wabash Employes' hospital at 10:15 o'clock Monday night. He was sixty-one years old last February.
Mr. Adams was born in McLean county Feb. 22, 1862. He was married in Muncie, Ind., Sept. 14, 1886. Beside his wife, Mrs. Louella E. Adams, he is survived by two children, Mrs. G. G. Mitchell and C. H. Adams, both of Decatur. He also leaves his parents, Matthew Adams and Mrs. Matilda (Henline) Adams and his brother D. E. Adams of St. Louis, a sister Mrs. May Cox of Springfield, a niece, Mrs. J. O. Singmaster of Keota, Ia., and his cousins, Thomas and Orlando Dawson of Lexington, Ill. There are three grandchildren, Clarence Mitchell and Martha Jane and Ruth Ellen Adams, all of Decatur.
Mr. Adams had lived in Decatur for the last eleven years, the family moving here from Tipton, Ind., in 1912. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen, lodge No. 411, of Decatur, and the I. O. O. F. of Tipton, Ind. The body was removed to the Moran & Sons undertaking establishment and prepared for burial.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the family residence, 926 East Main street. The burial will be in Graceland cemetery.
