Dewayne C. Gott, 36, Charlestown, Ind., died Jan. 29, 2006, at University of Louisville Hospital, the son of the late Estell C. "Dickie" Jupin.
He was a Firefighter for the Charlestown, Ind. Volunteer Fire Department, Charlestown, Ind. Police Department Communications Officer, a member of the Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Association, a former member of the Meade County Volunteer Fire Department, worked as an EMS Paramedic, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Persian Gulf War.
He is survived by his two sons, Brandon Lee Gott and Michael Paul Gott; his mother, Wanda L (Cox) Jupin; his domestic partner Joshua Campbell, Charlestown, Ind.; five brothers, Steven Gott, Louisville, Kevin Gott, Guston, Lynn Jupin, Brandenburg, David Jupin, Brandenburg and Troy Jupin, Brandenburg.
Funeral services will be held Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. from Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Jan. 31 and after 8 a.m. Feb. 1. There will be a IVFA memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 31 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be J.R. Harrison, Charles Deaton, Ben Johnson, Michael Paul Holcomb, Michael Goodwin and John Whalin. Honorary pallbearer was Harry Cox.
