My beautiful puppy, Liberty (Libby), passed away this evening. She lived an adventurous and long life. I found her as a stray on July 3rd, 2000 at the Ozark Airport in Alabama. According the vet at the time, she was about a year old. She was with me during difficult times at the end of my active duty career and my previous marriage. Both of us were lost and abandoned, thankfully we had each other and came through it together. We moved to Colorado and lived large in the central Rockies for a couple of years until we moved down to Denver. We enjoyed many miles of hiking in the mountains together and many nights camping under the stars. This picture is from a cross-country snowshoeing trip in 2003. For the last 15 years of her 16+ year life, she was one of my best friends.
I will miss her dearly.

Rest in peace Libby.
