Robert F. Jacobsen Jr., 88, of Grinnell, formerly of Tama, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012.

Wife: Norma Jeanne (nee Blythe) d: 1983
Daughters: Bert, Becky, & Vicki
Life Companion: Evelyn Navara (28 years)

After graduation, he served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps. On November 27, 1948, he married Norma Jeanne Blythe at St. Patrick's Rectory in Tama. In 1984, Evelyn Navara came into his life and was his companion until his passing.

Bob was employed by Fisher in Marshalltown for thirty years, retiring in 1983. He also farmed.

Bob was a lifelong Tama resident. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama, UAW Local 893, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the American Legion. Bob liked fishing, pheasant hunting and fixing things. He had a good sense of humor and enjoyed being with people. He enjoyed wintering in Texas and spending summers in Canada. Later in life, he bought a plane and enjoyed flying into his 80's.

At the time of his passing, Bob was grandfather to four grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife Norma Jeanne on May 31, 1983, and sisters-in-law, Lois Jacobsen, and EvaLea Jacobsen.

Funeral services were held October 11, 2012, followed by burial at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Tama.
