Tom was never married. He was an outstanding student with a brilliant mind and quick wit. He was an honor graduate of Richardson High School, and winner of the Pan American scholorship to College.
Tom attended the University of Texas at Austin, achieving 3 degrees : Archaeology, Anthropology and Geology. He lived in Austin from the time he entered college in 1966, until a year before his death in 1989, when he moved back to Dallas.
Tom went on several digs in Mexico on Archeological expeditions, and loved visiting Mexico. He was an avid collector of Stamps, Coins and books. Tom had a great sense of humor, and an incredible amount of knowledge. He could speak with you with much knowledge on any subject you chose, as he just loved to learn, constantly reading books of all types, constantly seeking information. He was a very kind, funny, loving person, with a big heart. Always teasing, he had a zest for life. He is sorely missed by all his family and friends. He was of the Catholic Faith.
Tom is buried near his paternal grandparents:
Elsie Louise Remwolt Meinke 1893-1980, and
Henry William Meinke 1885-1962.
