George J. Allmon, 57, potter, died Friday at 1:30 p.m. in his home, 314 West Ninth St., following a long illness.
Mr. Allmon was born in Meigs County and lived in East Liverpool for the past 45 years. He was employed as a jiggerman for the Hall China Co. He was a member of the Boyce Methodist Church and of Local Union 12, National Brotherhood of Operative Potters.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Daisy M. Allmon, two sons, George J. Allmon and Charles E. Allmon, a daughter, Mrs. Irene Watson, all of East Liverpool; four sisters, Mrs. Catherine Allison, Mrs. Helen Surgeon, Mrs. Jennie Carpenter, and Mrs. Ida Baker, all of East Liverpool, and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 3:30 p.m. in the Martin Funeral Home by Rev. William Mautz, pastor of the Anderson Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Friends may call Sunday afternoon and night at the funeral home.
