Born in Goliad county, Texas to Basil Peterson Slaughter and Josephine Vanonia (
williams) Slaughter on 15 Jul 1895.
In the year of 1888 he married Mary Leola "Lizzie" Phillips in her parents home of Lavaca county, Texas.
They moved to the Goliad area working with relatives and then moved to San Antonio in early-mid 1920's. He was a fireman for the City of San Antonio.
