Mrs. Dora Arterberry, wife of John Arterberry, died at her home last Thursday, April 5, 1906, of appendicitis. She had been sick scarcely a week. Mrs. Arterberry was a member of the U. B. Church at Wynoose. She was a very young woman. She leaves a husband, two children, two step children, a mother and one sister to mourn their loss. The funeral was preached at Pleasant View Friday by Rev. Boley and her remains laid to rest in the Greenhill cemetery.

Dora Alice Bowers was born July 15, 1876 in Richland CO., Illinois.She was the second of four daughters of George Washington Bowers and Louvina Rogers. She married Charles W. Evans on May 30, 1899 and had one son, Claude William. She married John Edgar Atteberry on February 11, 1902 and had one son, Sherman Everett. She died of peritonitis on April 5, 1906 in South Decker Township, Richland Co., Illinois.
