Margaret Amelia Dean, 100, formerly of Douglas Avenue and East Main Street, who was a patient at the Frostburg Nursing Home, died Sunday, January 26, 1992 at Frostburg Hospital.
Born September 2, 1891 in Kokomo, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Edith Priscilla (Hutt) Houghton.
Her husband, Fred Merten Dean preceded her in death on December 4, 1963. Also, she was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Edith (Dean) Sprinkle in 1948.
Mrs. Dean was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lonaconing.
She is survived by one son, Richard D. Dean, Catonsville; five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Kight Funeral Home, Cumberland, Allegany County, Maryland.
Services will be conducted there on Wednesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Adam E. Grim. Interment will be in the R.D. Dean Meorial IOOF Cemetery at Elk Garden, Mineral County, West Virginia.
