She was born in Plattsburgh on June 1, 1895, the daughter of Michael and Emma (Brown) Besaw.
She was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 125 Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include four sons, Chester White of Morrisonville, Roger W. Parrish of Morrisonville, Raymond Parrish of Plattsburgh and Robert Parrish of Plattsburgh; two daughters, Mrs. Leo (Phoebe) LaMar of Peru, and Mrs. Edward (Ethel) Besaw of Peru; 28 grandchildren, 98 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, James M. Parrish, who died in 1958; and by three children and three half-sisters.
Calling hours will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home on Park Row, Cadyville.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Schuyler Falls Cemetery.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Sacred Heart Nursing Home Patient Fund.

CADYVILLE - Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Cadyville for Mrs. Mary S. Parrish, 92, formerly of Morrisonville, who died Saturday, Aug. 1, 1987, at Sacred Heart Nursing Home. The Rev. Clyde Lewis, pastor of St. Augustine's Church in Peru, conducted the services.
Bearers-were Mike-Bola, Jim Bola, Ronnie Sears, Adrian LaMar, John LaMar and Barry White.
Burial followed in Schuyler Falls Cemetery where the Rev. Lewis conducted the committal service.
