Virginia E. Hayden, 68, of Stuart, Fla., died Sunday at her summer home at Charland Road, Tupper Lake. Mrs. Hayden was born in Troy and Lived several years in DeWitt before moving to Florida. She was administrator of the Hill Haven Nursing Home until retiring in 1982. She was a captain in the Army Nurse Corps, serving in Korea. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Church in Tupper Lake. She was a member of the New York State Nurses Association, the New York State Nursing Home Administrators Association and the American Red Cross Nurses. Surviving are her husband, Bernard J.; and a son, James J. of Greenbelt, Md. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Alphonsus Church. Burial will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Richer Funeral Home, Tupper Lake. Contributions may be made to the Tupper Lake Rescue Squad or St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam.
