William D. "Bill" Williams, 56, of New Albany, died Sunday, June 10, 2012, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
He was born April 2, 1956, in Louisville, to Wayne M. and Mary L. O'Bryan Williams and was a retired foreman and truck driver with Georgia Pacific Trucking Company in Louisville. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a Shriner, but most of all he loved his wife, family and riding his Harley Davidson. He will be missed by all his family and friends that loved and knew him.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Deborah K. Simon Williams; two daughters, Michelle Williams Shultz and her husband, Dan, and Amanda Williams Fleming and her husband, Christopher, all of New Albany; five grandchildren, Eric Williams, Conner and Paige Fleming and Kirsi and Kendra Shultz; his mother, Mary L. O'Bryan Williams, of New Albany; two brothers, Wayne P. Williams, of Lanesville, and Boyd Williams and his wife, Karen, of Palmyra.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne M. Williams.
