His marker has been moved and he is buried in the Byrd Family Cemetery about 100 yards behind the old family home of Col. George Wm. Byrd and Annie Hutson Byrd. (Information provided by Byrd Descendant Nancy Yankie.)

Autumn: William Kimsey Byrd Sr. is not buried at this cemetery. He is buried in a very small cemetery just behind Jacks Creek Church before you turn on to Cox's Creek Road.
