Beluh E. Clark, who died at her home in East Arcadia last Saturday morning, was born at Ridgeway, Minn., April 24, 1888, and lived there until two years ago when she removed with her parents to Glencoe. A little over a year ago, the family came to Arcadia and have resided here since that time.
Miss Clark's death was due to aneurism of the bursting of a blood vessel in the lungs. On the morning of her death, she did not get up as early as usual, keeping her bed until about 9 o'clock. Suddenly she sprang from the bed and started for the door, calling to those in the adjourning room that she could not breathe, then sank to the floor exhausted. Medical aid was at once summoned, but she was already beyond recovery and died in a few moments.

The funeral services were held at 12 o'clock Monday, Rev. E. P. Sanderson officiating. After the services were over, the funeral procession proceeded to the public cemetery, where after a few songs by the classmates of the deceased, the interment was made at one o'clock in the presence of the many friends of the sorrowing family. We unite in extending profound sympathy to the bereaved parents.

Beluh attended the grade school here, and though not in perfect health, was a robust looking girl, and of a cheerful and contented disposition. Her happy nature and childlike guileless simplicity, and pleasant ways made her many friends among her schoolmates and playmates. A sunny nature always spreads a wholesome blessing of cheer and one cannot help but love the sweet influence of such a soul. Her life was a may day of pleasure for in her work as well as play she found an enjoyment tinged with childish glee; and she went forward and reaped her reward which was a conscientious pleasure of duty well done. Instead of frowns, she won the smiles of the world, and the influence of her life will be felt with a glad remembrance, for she added to the sum of human happiness. Her bouquet was all spring flowers, gathered in the bright morning of life and fresh with the sparkling dew. She never knew that dropping flowers and withered leaves were in the distant pathway of the autumn of life. Who knows, perhaps it is best to pass away while the bright morning light clearly shows the distant shore and before the warm morning sun has dried the dew on the fragrant flowers. But is hard for those who must wonder and wait until the freshness of morn has faded, and the light of the afternoon seems far away and dim, and hope alone reaches toward the evening sky.
