Gerard J. Bourassa, 69, of Sanford, passed away, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. He was born in Sanford on November 16, 1941, son of the late John and Alma (Bouffard) Bourassa.
For many years he was employed by the Sanford Knights of Columbus.
Besides his parents, Gerard is predeceased two brothers, Alfred and Leo Bourassa.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Trumble) Bourassa of Sanford, sons, Frank Bourassa of Lebanon and Stephen Bourassa of North Berwick, grandchildren, Crystal Bourassa of Sanford, Craig Gerry of Sanford, Evan Bourassa of Sanford and Annabelle Cote of Shapleigh, great grandchildren, Dominic Orzechowski of Sanford, Kailyn Murphy of Sanford, Jaelyn Bourassa of Sanford, Colin Gerry of Berwick and Amaya Lewis of Sanford, a sister, Lucille Brackett of Texas, brothers, Andrew Bourassa of Texas and John Bourassa of Shapleigh, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Gerard's wishes, there will be no funeral services.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.
