G. D. Fritzsinger and
Wife Killed in Crash

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald D. Fritzsinger, 220 Third street south, were killed Tuesday afternoon in a traffic accident at Carnegie, Pa., when their automobile was struck by a towing truck which had skidded on snow-covered pavement.
The tragedy occurred as the Fritzsingers were en route to their home here after spending the holidays in New York with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Youngchild. Both were lifelong residents of Wisconsin Rapids and prominent in community affairs.
According to Pennsylvania state police, who conducted an investigation, the collision took place on a curve at the crest of a hill on U. S. Highway 22-30 at the outskirts of Carnegie, eight miles west of Pittsburgh, about 4 o'clock in the afternoon...
Mr. Fritzsinger was senior part-
ner in the Fritzsinger Insurance
agency, founded in 1887 by his
father, the late Edward R. Fritz-
singer. He had conducted the busi-
ness for 45 years. He was a member
of the Elks lodge and the
Knights of Columbus and played an
important role in Wisconsin Rapids
industrial development as secretary
of the Chamber of Commerce
and of the once-active Merchants
and Manufacturers association.
