October 5, 1923 - June 11, 2011 OKLAHOMA CITY Beatrice Mae Boyer, 87, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011, in Oklahoma City. Beatrice was born October 5, 1923 in Cade, Oklahoma, (SE part of the state) to Walter E. & Lois Sanders. She moved to Oklahoma City in the 1930s. Beatrice enjoyed dancing and loved being with her best friend, Betty Newell. She met her husband, Alfred Boyer, at a dance, and they were married on February 1, 1947. They had two sons, and she was a housewife until the death of Al in 1956. After the funeral of her husband, she went to work until 2000. Beatrice spent her retirement years meeting with her friends at a McDonald's in Wal-Mart several times a week until her health declined. Beatrice is survived by her sons, Jimmy Boyer and Terry Boyer and wife Georgia; sisters, Blanche Cumpton and Franceil Grigsby; and grandsons, John and Trent Boyer. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Wayne and Delroy Sanders. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at 2:00 P.M., in Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
