D.B. Woods, a resident of Olive Branch Apts., died Wednesday in the veterans hospital in Bonham. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Maxey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. C.D. Hillburn, pastor of Johnson's Chapel CME Church, officiating.
Burial will be made in Howland Cemetery. Born 28 Mar 1892 in Howland, Mr. Woods was a son of John and Hanna Tatum Woods. He was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include a brother, Newton J. Woods of Paris; a sister, Mrs. Alzena Reynolds of Midland, and several nieces and nephews.
