Harriett Agnes Littmann Rabedeau of Houghton Lake, Michigan, passed away on Friday May 3, 2013 at The Brook Retirement Community of Houghton Lake with her loving family by her side. She was 89 years old.

Harriett was born on May 6, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan, to Elmer and Hattie (Netzloff) Nix. She served her country during WW II by taking federal training as a Lathe Operator and working at the River Rouge Tank Plant. Harriett was married in Detroit to Clarence Littmann on February 24, 1944. Clarence worked as a Detroit Police Officer and the couple managed the Lincoln Lodge Hunting Camp in Grayling with Harriett as the chief cook. Their children were all raised in the Redford area of Detroit attending Redford Lutheran School and William graduated from Redford High School while Cheryl and Patricia graduated from Houghton Lake Community Schools. The family moved to Houghton Lake from Detroit in 1974 where Clarence worked as an officer on the Denton Township Police Department until he passed away in 1979. Harriett married Ken Rabedeau in Houghton Lake on July 28, 1984. Harriett was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and the Houghton Lake Elks.

Surviving Harriett are her husband, Ken Rabedeau of Houghton Lake; son, William (Janice) Littman of Romeo, MI; two daughters, Cheryl Littmann of Seward, AK, and Patricia (Phil) Grasso of Clearwater, FL; three granddaughters, Stefani, Andrea, and Kelly. Harriett was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Clarence Littmann; son, Lawrence Littmann; and sister, Delores Kedding.

Chapel services for Harriett Agnes Littmann Rabedeau will be conducted at 3:30PM Monday May 6, 2013 from Glenn Eden Lutheran Memorial Cemetery in Livonia. A Memorial Service is also being planned for later this summer in Houghton Lake. Memorial Contribution in memory of Harriett are asked to be directed to Hospice Advantage of West Branch.
