Preston L. Hatch was born in Islesboro, Maine on Oct.6, 1881. His parents were Frank Leslie and Sarah(Pendleton) Hatch. Preston was married to Violet E.(Yeaton)Hatch,Sept 4,1905 Three Children Frank L. Hatch, Robert E.Hatch, Pauline E. Hatch. Mr.Hatch worked for the Riverside and Arlington Railway which was owned by the Riverside Portland Cement Company. He was sent by R-P Co.to Glendale to take over the newly bought Glendale & Montrose Railway first as Superintendent(1920) then General Manager (1921-1930). Mr. Hatch returned to Cement Company employ when railroad closed. Mr. Hatch was injured when he was struck by an auto Oct.21,1932 at 9th near Olive. Mr. Hatch would succumb from his injuries Oct.27,1932.
