Mrs. Addie Belle Chalflinch Cooper, of RFD 2, Aiken, died Monday at her residence after a brief illness.
A native of Orangeburg County, Mrs. Cooper had lived in Aiken County most of her life. She was the widow of Julius B. Bryant and also the widow of H. F. Gantt. She was also a member of Merritts Bridge Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, John Cooper; her step-mother, Mrs Annie Chalflinch, Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Birdie E. Rogers, Aiken; two sons, Etheredge L. Bryant, Aiken, Robert O. Bryant, North Augusta; four sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Mae Williams, Mrs. Lessie Baughman, Mrs. Ida Gantt, all of Aiken, Mrs. Mattie Gunter, West Columbia, SC; a half-sister, Mrs. James Clark, Jacksonville; four half-brothers, J. R. Chalflinch, Carroll Chalflinch, Ben Chalflinch, all of Robbins, NC, Marvin Chalflinch, Jacksonville; six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Merritts Bridge Christian Church Wednesday. The funeral hour will be announced by George Funeral Home, Aiken.
Friends may call at the residence after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
