Edward J. Donovan, 29, Rescue 1

He died of injuries he received on Nov 4, after falling down a pole hole in quarters. (123 Oliver Street) He had 4 years of service and he was the first Paramedic in the department.
This was a tough one, Eddie was a good kid and a friend.

Donovan of Dorchester, nephew of Edward J. and Sr. Ann Donovan S.C.H. and Mrs. Helen Condon all of Dorchester, uncle of Tony Donovan and Fiance of Arline Atwood of Roslindale.

Funeral from the John J. O'Connor Funeral Home, 740 Adams St., "Nr. Gallivan Blvd" Dorchester Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Funeral Mass in St. Brendan's Church at 11 o'clock. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9.

Member of Local #718 Society of St. Florian, John P. McKeon Post #146 Am Vets, American Legion Post #10 of Dedham, Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Dorchester Bay Area Hospice, 1353 Dorchester Ave., Dorchester.

Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
