DAFFRON, Virgil Sonny. age 79, of Monticello, Ky. passed away Monday, December 27, 2004 at the Wayne County Hospital.
He was born September 30, 1935 in Junction City, Ky., the son of the late Basil Duke Daffron and Bertie Mae Moore Daffron.
He married Marcia Kelsay on April 6, 1947, who survives.
He is survived by three sons-Danny Moore Daffron of Monticello, Ky., Stephen Denton Daffron of Bronston, Ky. and David Scott Daffron of Somerset, Ky.; one daughter-
Susan Tarter of Monticello, Ky.; one sister-Marjorie Dalton of Monticello, Ky.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was two siblings-Donald Moore and Betty Jewell.
He was a member of First Christian Church.
Funeral services were held Thursday, December 30, 2004 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Mel Gresham, Bro. Harlan Ogle and Bro. John Holland officiating.
Burial was in Elk Spring Cemetery.

He was united in marriage to Marcia Kelsay on April 6, 1947 and to this union four children were born.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia Daffron; four children, Danny Moore Daffron, Susan (Daffron) Tarter, Stephen Denton Daffron, and David Scott Daffron; one sister, Marjorie Dalton; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Basil and Birdie Daffron; his brother, Donald Moore; and his sister, Betty Jewell Sutton.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him
