Allen Conrad "Connie" Hinson of St Clair, husband of June Hinson, passed away on Wednesday, Oct.11, 1989, at the St James Nursing Center, St James, having reached the age of 60 years, 7 months and 26 days.
He was born on Feb 15 1929, at Lonedell, son of Ethel Palmer Hinson and the late Floyd Hinson. On Jan 12, 1957, he was united in marriage to Junetta Burns and they were blessed with four children.
Connie is survived by his wife, June Hinson; two sons, Ronald Hinson and wife, Donna; and David Hinson; two daughters, Carolyn Teal and Margie Kohler all of St Clair; his mother, Ethel Hinson and mother-in-law, Ella Burns, both of St Clair; one sister, Betty Davis and husband, Lawrence, of St Clair; six brothers, Donald Hinson and wife, Iva of Union; Kenneth Hinson and wife, Stella, Fred Hinson and wife Deanna of St Clair; Neil Hinson and wife Lola of Lonedell; Robert Hinson and wife, Loretta and Bernard Hinson of St Clair; nine grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Connie was preceded in death by his father Floyd Hinson and a brother Junior Hinson.
Connie attended the First Baptist Church at St Clair. He was also a member of Easter Lodge 575 AF & AM. He had been a member of the St Clair Saddle Club, and active in 4-H as a 4-H leader. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and riding horses.
A kind and loving husband, father, son, son-in-law, father-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin and a very dear friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by everyone who knew him.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Oct 13, at 2 p.m. from the Russell Colonial Chapel, St Clair, with Brother Milo Haynes officiating. Interment was in the Prospect Cemetery, Lonedell.
