Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Maple Shade and Medford before moving to Southampton 33 years ago.
Mrs. West retired in 1987 as a food server at New Lisbon Developmental Center.
In her earlier years, she was active with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.
Some of her interests included gardening, reading and crocheting.
Margaret touched the lives of many with her humor.
She was the beloved mother of Mona Wilson (John), Chalie West, and Liat Lurty, all of Southampton, and Joseph West (Kim) of Lumberton; and the devoted Granny of Jake, Caiti and Cameron Wilson, Dave, Keith and Megan Lurty, Joey and Amy West and the late Stacy Lurty. She also is survived by her former husband, Harold West.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 3, at Dennison Funeral Home, 41 Main St., Vincentown, where relatives and friends may visit with the family from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Junior Mechanics Cemetery, Tabernacle.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be sent to Deborah Heart and Lung Center, 200 Trenton Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.
