Thomas Fredrick Adams, 88, died Saturday evening in Parkview Nursing Center after a long illness.

He was born in Evansville to the late Andrew and Lena Fisher Adams. He retired in 1979 from Borg-Warner automotive after 42 years. He also worked at Miller Milkhouse.

He was a member of the UAW Local 287. He was a founder of the Warner Gear Federal Credit Union, and was on the board for 40 years. He was a former member of the Episcopalian Church of New Castle and was a United States Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marjorie Adams; and a stepdaughter, Patricia JoAnn Clark.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Parson Mortuary. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery at Eaton, with military graveside rites by Veterans of Delaware County Honor Guard. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and an hour before services Wednesday at Parson Mortuary.
