Died February 11, 2011.
Evelyn was born April 30, 1919, in Thomas, SD, to Lloyd and Grace Rose.
She graduated from Watertown SD High School, then worked in Minneapolis. In 1938 she met Clark at the Marigold Ballroom and two years later they were married.
Clark died shortly before their 45th anniversary. Evelyn was active in many social circles while living in Montana, Ohio and Minnesota. She participated in many church activities: she loved to dance, play golf and bridge, and to travel, taking several trips to Europe and many U.S. states. In her later years she remained as gracious and cheerful as always, leaving us with so many warm memories of her loving parenting. We will miss her smile, her glad "Hello!" on the phone, her willing ears and her wonderful ability to make "anyplace she hung her hat" a home for us and our dad.
A Celebration of Evelyn's life will be held at Falcon Hgts. United Church of Christ, Garden and Holton Aves., on Saturday Feb. 19 at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the church, Presbyterian Homes Foundation or HealthPartners Hospice of the Lakes.
Special and very warm thanks to the staffs at the above care facilities for their loving care of our mom.
As she said in her last months, "I've had a wonderful life!" 651-631-2727
