Greentown, IN Nov. 7-Tribune Area Special)-Joseph Crousore, 92, pioneer of Howard Co., died at his home, three and on-half miles south of Greentown, at 7:30p.m. Friday night. He had been ill since the death of his wife, Sept 13.
He was born March 7, 1955, in Taylor Township, son of Jacob and Rhoda Crousore, and spent all his life in Howard county. He was married to Mary E. Hamilton, April 20,1879.
Seven of their 10 children survive as follows: Curtis of Hamilton, MO, Elmer, Leo and Bryan, Kokomo; Mrs. Gertrude Smith, Kokomo Route 5; Mrs. Anna Horoho, Sycamore; Mrs. Hazel Keeler, Greentown; 25 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the New Salem Friends Church with the Rev. Fannie Gentry officiating. The body will be removed from the Mast and Pickett funeral home to the residence where friends may call after 5 o'clock Saturday afternoon.
