Virginia Accurso, 88, passed away Wednesday August 3 peacefully at her home with her family by her side.
Funeral mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday August 6 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Rev. Patrick Ebner officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation and rosary were held Friday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
Virginia was born August 14, 1922 in Bryan the daughter of Joe Giuseppe and Camella (Patti) Maglitto. She was affectingly known by family and friends as "Mo", "Vancey" and "Vance". Virginia loved to cook, dance, sew and crochet. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Accurso, brothers, John, Dave and Sam Maglitto, sisters, Mary Abbate, Laura Todaro and Rosie Glowski.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Camella Whatley, Lena and Harrold Simpson all of Bryan; grandchildren, Charlene Deajon and husband Norris, Darlene Whatley, Tina Nemeth and husband, John, Charles "Duke" Whatley and wife Julia, Melissa Anglin and husband William, Virginia Truksa and husband James; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Shamus, Averey and Sage Truksa, Johnny and Logan Nemeth and Gunnar Whatley; longtime companion and friend, Leon Banono; her dog, Reggie and cat, Lakey; and numerous other family members.
