Services for Mrs. Amanda Welker will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 3 at the Pentecostal Church near Millersville by the pastor, Rev. Golden Welker and assisted by Rev. Verdell Jackson of Jackson. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The body will remain at the Haman Funeral Home until noon Wednesday. Mrs. Welker, 79 years old, a life long resident of Millersville and Jackson communities, died Monday at a hospital.

Surviving are the following children, one son, Charles C. Hunter of St. Louis by her first marriage, Clarence Welker of Jackson, Fred Welker of Millersville, Mrs. Pink Niswonger of Cape Girardeau, Mrs. John Newell, Mrs. George Stevens, Lyman Welker, and Mrs. John Schreiner of Jackson, Mrs. William Hager of Taylorville, Illinois, and Lee Welker of Alton, Illinois, children by her second marriage; one half-sister, Mrs. Charles Adamson of Marble Hill; two step-sons, Edward Welker of Milton, Oregon and William Welker of Millersville; 46 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Born February 15, 1879 at Paducah, Kentucky, she resided there with her parents until she was seven months old and then moved to the Millersville community and later to Jackson. Her first marriage was to Edward Hunter who died in 1897. In 1900, she was married to G. W. Welker, who died October 18, 1940.
