Obituary 2001- Earl was born 3 Aug 1926,in Elliott Co,KY., a son of the late Landon and Bessie Lewis Adkins.
He also was preceded in death by his wife Connie Jean Edwards Adkins on 22 Feb 1996; one daughter Earlene Adkins; one brother, Arnold Adkins; two sisters, Stella Foster and LaVonda Shinkle.
Surviving are one daughter, Cheryl Lee(Steve)Ellis of Wheelersburg; one son, Michael(Sharron)Adkins, of Lucasville; three brothers, Ernie Adkins of New England, Robert L Adkins of Zanesville, Eugene Adkins of McDermott; two sisters, Estolene Phipps of Lucasville and Phyllis Collett of Westerville; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren
He was a retired electrician from Cyclops Detroit Steel, a World War II Navy veteran, and a 1947 graduate of McDermott High School.
Burial in Scioto Burial Park, with military services by William A Baker Post of American Legion.
