"John and Mary Bergey's graves were marked with fieldstones until July 1907, when a granite monument was erected on the spot by the Bergey family association, and unveiled with appropriate ceremony September 27, 1907."
2) Though widely recognized as the daughter of Anna / Anneli Reiff and Gerhart / Gerhard Clemens, there is no definite proof as to Mary's surname.
The Bergey family history list her as daughter of Gerhard Clemens but there seems to be no indication of this in the Clemens history.
She is not listed on the Clemens Memorial stone at the Salford Cemetery nor is a daughter listed on the emigration lists:
"A list of all the poor Germans lately come over from the Palatinate to this Kingdom taken in St. Catherine's the sixth May 1709".
