Benita Hume, ACTRESS, was born in London, England and died in Egerton, England, north of Manchester. She started her career in the theatre but quickly gravitated to films. She was married to writer/journalist Eric Siepman at age 19. She won a role in Ivor Novello's play "Symphony in Two Flats" and she accompanied Novello when he took the play to New York. She was under contract to both RKO and MGM. In 1935 she was cast, by MGM, in Tarzan Escapes. She married Ronald Colman in 1938 and they had their only child, Juliet, in 1943. The Colmans did several radio shows with neighbour Jack Benny and starred in their own series, Halls of Ivy in 1950, which evolved into a TV series in 1954. She returned to England after Ronald died in 1958 and married George Sanders a year later.

Cause of death: Bone Cancer.

* Per FAG contributor, Damarisk, Her mother was Jane Duff born 1881 in Chinkiang, Chengmai, Hainan, China, married Henry Josiah Humm 06 Aug 1902 at Holy Trinity Lambeth.

* On 02-02-2016, Anonymous , Submitted: "There is no Lathrop cemetery in Bolton, Greater Manchester. There is an Egerton which is a district of Bolton Greater Manchester but Kent is a southern area in England. The cemetery details appear to be incorrect."

* On 11/23/2016, dfilpus provided: "According to "Resting Places: The Burial Sites of More Than 14,000 Famous Persons, 3d ed ..." by Scott Wilson, Ms Hume was cremated and her ashes were scattered at the Charing Crematorium, AKA Kent County Crematorium."
