It is with great sadness that we bid farewell to our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother-in-law and friend.
Henry Dell Kelson, 82, passed away in the early morning hours of April 30, 2012. Born August 10, 1929 in Ephraim, UT to Sidney L. and Ella Taylor Kelson.
Attended school in Gunnison. Served two tours in the US Army during the Korean War. Married his Loving wife, March 17, 1951 in Enumclaw, WA. Settled in Salt Lake City where they've lived for the last 60 years. They recently celebrated their 61st anniversary.
Dell worked at the Kennecott Foundry for 28 years, retiring in 1978. During that time he also had various part-time jobs including bartender, taxi driver, fence construction and grooming his beautiful yard and the yards of many others. He was an impeccable gardener and loved the outdoors. His happiest times were with his family and friends at barbeques, boating, camping, hunting, 4-wheeling and yard sales. Family always came first to Dad. He is a devoted husband and father. He is an honorable, proud man and highly respected by everyone.
Preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Aileen and Roine and brother, Ray.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 3rd, 11:00 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Rd. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at the mortuary and one hour prior to services on Thursday. Interment Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
