George R. Edison, M.D. was born in New York City, New York, on April 19th, 1929. His parents were Arthur and Marcella Rafalsky Edison. He passed away on the 12th of December, 1998, at his residence, after a long illness. George is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lynne, two sons, Arthur and Paul, and their families. He is also survived by his grandchildren and three stepchildren. Dr. Edison was a prominent, and distinguished physician. He played the Viola and was the President of The Chamber Music Society of Salt Lake City for two years. Among his many lifetime achievements was finishing in twelve marathons, including running the Boston Marathon twice. For many years, George was an enthusiastic runner, until stopped by arthritis in both knees. He will be deeply missed by his colleagues, friends, and loved ones.
