Services for Henry E. Clendening, 63 Bonfield, who died at 5:25 a.m. Saturday in Hines General hospital, Hines, after a long illness, were held at 1 p.m. today with the Rev. R. B. Davis, pastor of Third Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery.
Born April 27, 1890, in Rockford, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Clendening. Mr. Clendening, a plater, lived here until 1940 when he moved to Chicago and later to Bonfield. He was a world war I army veteran.
Survivors include three sons, Henry, Jr., Bonfield; Edward, Loves Park; James, Rockford; four daughters, Mrs. Margaret Brekke, Alaska; and Mrs. Madeline Kleinhans, Mrs. Hazel Waisner, and Esther Clendening, all of Rockford; and 11 grandchildren.
