Albert Dean Sampson was born 22 Apr 1920 in Waterford, Washington County, Ohio. Parents: David Albert and Mary Ethel Hann Sampson. Younger brothers: Dearle and Bobby (of Louisville, OH), Francis and Jimmy (of Waterford, OH). Sister Lurlie Jean died in infancy in Waterford. Married Marjorie Madeline May at Chapel of Friendly Bells on 27 Nov 1945. Children: Sherry Sampson (Russell C., Sr.) Champlin and Howard Dean Sampson. Grandchildren: Laura Nicole Sampson and Thomas Dean Sampson. Served in the United States Army during World War II in the South Pacific (New Guinea, Australia, Philippines). Worked as a draftsman at Packard Electric and a millwright at Copperweld Steel. Retired from Copperweld in 1985. Died 16 Feb 2001 after a long, hard-fought battle with emphysema. Buried in Champion Cemetery just northeast of the chapel.
