Myrtle Jeanette Cameron, 92, of Ludington, passed away on September 19. .


She was born September 22, 1920, daughter of the late Albert and Anna (Osen) Abrahamson. She graduated from Ludington High School in 1939, and married Cardinal A. Cameron on December 28, 1948, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. .


Myrtle was a homemaker and was employed by the County School Commission and Giantway. She was a member of St. Simon Catholic Church and enjoyed her flower garden, watching the birds in her bird feeders and reading. Myrtle is survived by her daughter, Mary Vanderveer of Ludington; son, John (Dianna) Cameron of Tallahassee, Florida; 5 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild..


She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and infant son, Ronald John, who passed away in 1951; her step-daughter, Patricia Kaufman; two brothers, Harry and Eugene Abrahamson; her sisters, Ruth, Florence, Marion and Ethel; along with her friend and companion, Wesley W. Sabin..


A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, at Oak Grove Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Ludington, with the Rev. Wayne Buskirk officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service..


Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Ludington. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Sutter Living Center. The family entrusted Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center with arrangements.
