She died March 17, 2004, at her home near Long Lane, at the age of 71 years, 7 months and 8 days. She was raised in the Lees Summit area and graduated from high school there. She was united in marriage with Ray Bragaw on May 31, 1952, in Lees Summit, and to this union three children were born. She was noted for her potato salad. Her special love, other than her family, was reading and working in church. She and her husband were Pathfinder leaders for more than 30 years. She was a member of the Bolivar Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Pauline Pittman. Survivors include her husband, Ray; two sons: Tim Bragaw, Clovis, Calif., and Paul Bragaw, Elizabeth, Colo.; one daughter, Patty Byrd, Grander, Ind.; one sister, Mary Catherine Frye, Lees Summit; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other family, church family and friends who will all sadly miss her.
