Mr. Norvell died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E.N. Hardy.
He was born in Richmond,VA and came from a distinguished family there. He was an intellectual and was graduated with honors at the age of 19.
While teaching in SC, he married a pupil, Miss Mary Freeman. After her death, he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Hardy.
His survivors were sons T.E. Norvell of Grovetown, B.M. and J.C. Norvell of Augusta, W.C. Norvell of Cordelle, and daughters, Mrs. A.L. Hatcher of Augusta, Mrs. Emma Hardy and Mrs. C.M. Love of Atlanta.
