Levi Mansfield was born about 1754. He married, January 21, 1781, Rebecca Miles, of New Ipswich. They resided in the north-east part of Rindge, at the farm later of Capt. Keyes. There they kept a public house. Levi was frequently employed by the town in the transaction of public business. He was a signatory of the Association Test in Rindge in 1776 and served in Col. Enoch Hale's regiment in 1776 at Ticonderoga. He and Rebecca had three children. He died June 2, 1817, aged 63 years.
