Joseph Benedict Jr., 75, Airport Road, an area farmer, died Sunday at his home.
Mr. Benedict came to the United States in 1910 from Yugoslavia, his native country. He lived in Amherst, Ohio, before moving to Samsula 48 years ago. He was a past president of the SNPJ Lodge No. 603, Samsula, and was active for many years as a leader in the Samsula 4-H Club. He was also a member of the Samsula Hunting Club.
Survivors include his widow, Frances Luznar; two daughters, Mrs. Frances Raulerson, Samsula, and Mrs. Joan Worley, now of Atlanta, Ga.; three sons, Joseph, Frank, and George, all of Samsula; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Lehman, Lorain, Ohio, Mrs. Caroline Nabakowski, Fort Meyers, and Mrs. Eleanor Hamm, Penn Yan, N.Y., all frequent area visitors; two brothers, Edward, Amherst, and George, Lorain, both area visitors; 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
