Alta Lavelle Hainline McHendry, the sixth child of Jacob Enis and Arabelle Charter Hainline, was born September 9, 1892 in Blandinsville, Illinois. On April 29, 1908, she married Charles Andrew McHenry in Good Hope, Illinois. Two children were born, Garnet Helen (born Jul 24, 1909) and Gladys Belle Irene (born Feb 14, 1911). The family moved to Blakesburg, Iowa in 1918, where two more children were born, Gerald Joseph (born Jan 03, 1921) and Gracia Elizabeth (born May 17, 1923). Gracia passed away Jul 31, 1925 and Gerald passed away Aug 04, 1925, both from an illness. On March 29, 1933, Max Barton McHendry was born. He passed away on September 30, 1864 from a car accident. Charles died February 24, 1970, and Alta died on November 2, 1984 in Des Moines, Iowa.
