After John Briddle died in 1937, Martha remarried to William Blight on September 3, 1938 in Knox County, Missouri.
Martha died in 1958 and was buried under the last name of Briddle beside her first husband, John Briddle, at Bear Creek Cemetery. Their daughter Cyntha is buried beside them.
