He came over on the "Rosannah" in Sept.1743. The Ship Rosanna and Her Passengers

In a print book Hans Jacob HUMBLE and Philap HUMBLE are listed a foreigners
imported on the ship Rosanna from Rotterdam, Captain James Reason, Master.
Also on the page is the following:

Capt James (Reason)
List of foreingers imported from Wittenberg, Turloch (Durlach) & Swizerland.
Sept. 1743. In the Ship Rosanna.
(list 100 C) At the Court House Philadelphia, 26 sept 1743.
Present: The Honourable George Thomas, Esq. Governor
Wm Till Esq
Septimus Robinson Esq
The Foreigners whose names are underwritten, imported in the Ship Rosannah,
Capt James Reason, Master, from Rotterdam, but last from Cowes, did this day
take the foregoing Qualifications or Oathes to the Government....Included in the list are Hannes Jakob HUMMEL and Gorg Phillip HUMMEL. Another instance of a name change at the time of immigration???..
Maybe I can get the book from interlibrary loan or the LDS,is voyage of the Rosanna online.His descendants are George Adam Hummel Sr.1752-1808, who is Solomon "pap" Hummel's 12/22/1795-11/28/1861,dad.Solomon Hummel is my grandfathers ,greatgrandfather.I will do the research to fill in the blanks & double check information as I have time.asap.
