Birth: May 25, 1821
North Carolina, USA
Death: Dec. 31, 1905
North Carolina, USA

Levi, age 42, enlisted in the Confederate States Army on 6 October 1863 in McDowell County, North Carolina. He was mustered as a Private in Company F, 58th North Carolina Infantry.

(special thanks to Autumn for the following info) Roster 58th N.C. Carolina Infantry - Levi Arrowood - Co. F. Enl. on 10/6/63 at Marion. AWOL from 10/21 to 12/22/63, court-martiled, sentenced to forfeit 1 month's pay. Pres., thru 8/31/64. Res. McDowell Co.

Other children of Levi Arrowood and Martha "Jane" Arrowood not linked are: Martha (married Bruner); Lizzie (married Dixon); Mary Jane (married Hogan).

My guess would be that this Levi Arrowood was the son of Zachariah Arrowood (b. abt 1792 in N.C.) and possibly Anna Arrowood as being Levi's mother. Also, my guess would be that this Levi was possibly a brother to David Ard (that was born in N.C. abt 1782, but later moved to Alabama.) My guess is that the surname "Ard" was from the surname "Arrowood". David Ard then had a son, named Zachariah Ard b. about 1831 in Alabama d. 1909 in Florida. Zachariah Ard had moved to Florida and with serving in the Civil War. It appeared he (Zach Ard) became the owner of lots of property in Northern Florida.)

This might be the marriage record of the parents of Levi:
Name: Zacharias Arrowood
Spouse: Elisabeth Commins
Marriage Date: 29 Jan 1786
Marriage County: Lincoln
State: North Carolina

Thank you, so very much to Diane Spencer for providing the photo of Levi Arrowood's Marker Stone. Also, for providing any other photos that she has added to any Memorial Pages of FaG that has been done by me, I do very much appreciate!
