Cpl David Alan Aldrich was the son of Paul Aldrich and Marguerite Van Ness.
CPL Aldrich's tour of duty began on March 15, 1968. He was assigned to B Company, 1st Battalion, 26th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Amphibious Force. CPL Aldrich died from injuries received from a hostile explosion device when engaged in action against hostile forces. Twelve servicemen were killed in the incident. CPL Aldrich's name is engraved on Panel 47E, Line 007 of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
