Timothy Michael Helliker, age 51 of Blue Springs, Missouri died on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at Kindred Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

Born Friday, August 1, 1958 in Independence, Missouri, he was the son of the George Helliker, and Betty Allender. His father preceded him in death.

He lived in Mayview, Missouri, moving to Blue Springs in 1976. He worked as a tax examiner for the Internal Revenue Service. He was affiliated with Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church, Blue Springs.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Betty & Husband Charles Overstreet of Blue Springs; two step-brothers, Michael Overstreet of Independence; and Matthew & Wife Shayna Overstreet of Gilbert, Arizona; and one step-sister, Cindy Overstreet of Ithaca, New York.

A Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April 16, 2010 at Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church located at 3108 SW US Hwy. 40 Blue Springs, Missouri 64015 with the Rev. Andrew Florio officiating, Judy Tucker as organist and Paula Isgrig as vocalist. Interment will be in City Cemetery, Higginsville, Missouri.

Pallbearers include Bob McCartney, Luke McCartney, Jeff Heitz, David Heitz, Andy Manking, and Tim Beistle.

Visitation and a light luncheon will be held from 12:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Friday at the church. In Lieu of Flowers, contributions may be sent to March of Dimes or local animal shelter.
